The design process is phased and collaborative. We will keep you informed with regular meetings and presentations as your landscape develops from an initial brief into a buildable, lasting design.
We begin with a site visit and a considered conversation about your aspirations, lifestyle, practical needs, and the character of the existing landscape. We then prepare a written brief that brings your goals, scope, and next steps into focus.
A topographical survey captures the site's layout, levels, boundaries, and utilities. We translate this information into initial 2D and 3D concepts, supported by moodboards that establish the direction before detailed decisions are made.
Once a concept is agreed, we develop it into a cohesive masterplan. Material palettes, spatial arrangements, planting character, and key features are refined, while 3D imagery gives you a clearer sense of how the finished landscape will feel.
The approved masterplan is developed into the technical information needed to build it accurately. This can include setting-out plans, level plans, lighting locations, construction details, and sections for structural coordination.
A detailed planting plan locates every proposed plant and is accompanied by a schedule listing species, sizes, and quantities. Planting moodboards and a maintenance schedule help carry the intended character through to a thriving, long-term landscape.
We assemble the tender package for trusted contractors or a contractor of your choice. During construction, optional site inspections help answer questions, monitor progress, and ensure the landscape is built as designed, including setting out the plants when the build is complete.
