Our clients are experienced and knowledgeable travelers who have explored Europe's historic cities and towns. On their many journeys across the world, they fell in love with the timeless beauty of authentic cobblestone streets. The varieties of stone found across Canada include granite from the Canadian Shield, basalt from British Columbia, and limestone from Ontario and Quebec. Their dream was to have an authentic reclaimed Canadian cobblestone driveway to complement their beautiful home.

Although we have years of experience sourcing beautiful old-world cobbles from across Canada, none of our current cobblestone stock from our Historic Canadian Cobblestone collection were quite the right colors they were seeking. They desired a darker, consistent color that we knew was either in the granite or basalt family of stones. The search was on!

Our process involved not just reaching out to our sources across Canada, but then sharing with our clients all the possibilities with photos. We found several interesting options. The list was narrowed down, more images submitted in both dry and wet conditions, mock-ups created, and finally actual cobblestone samples were submitted.
